“The Skull of Corwyn the Cursed”
Corwyn the Cursed was a pirate whose greed knew no end. He sailed beyond the edge of mortal seas, into the sacred land of unicorns, where no shadow should ever tread. There he raised his blade against the guardians of light — but their radiance was stronger than steel.
Struck down, Corwyn’s punishment was no simple death. The curse of the unicorns seeped into his bones, warping them with moss, blooming fungi through his hollows, and crowning his skull with jeweled leaves. His remains became a living monument to his downfall — a grotesque beauty, grown from greed, bound in enchantment.
Now his skull endures as a trophy — not of his victories, but of his defeat. A reminder that no evil, no matter how feared, can outlast the light.
This piece is a collaboration between mother and daughter. The mushrooms were hand painted by the daughter as was the copper leaf seen in the eye cavities and underside of the mushrooms. Daughter also came up with the story concept. Mother side of the duo is the wire wrapper.
